This Upgrade applies to ALL Model 22, 22A and 22B converters.

Upgrade can be performed by user with some soldering experience.

An extra D/A converter chip is soldered on top of the original one. This doubles the output current to the Current-to-Voltage converter allowing better reconstruction of the analog signal. The end result is more " analog" sound quality from an already excellent D/A converter.

Approximate u upgrade time is one ho hour.

1. Two Burr Brown PCM63P-K Select Grade D/A converter chips. (Only the "K" version can be used to match the original "K" version on the circuit board)
2. A 30-watt soldering iron
3. A length of "No Clean" Solder enough for making the 56 solder joints.
