"Monarchy's new DIP
24/96 is the
best DIP yet - a clear improvement
over Monarchy's previous
jitter-suppression products.
Many of the new 95kHz/24-bit D/A
converters have
such inherently
low internal jitter that external
devices often
degrade the sound.
Not so with the DIP 24/96.
This is the first outboard jitter
suppressor
that actually improves
the sound of my outboard 96kHz/24-bit
DAC."

Dear Ming,
many thanks for your feedback on DIP 24/96 . I just wanted to make
sure that I was not confusing the processor by having both cables
connected
at the same time. As I said before, this unit dramatically improves the
spaciousness of all music. I can finally enjoy my cd transport which
only
has a toslink out. Wonderful!

Standard music CD's worked quite well

actually made the $200

Ming,
There is indeed a huge improvement.
Much more
bass sound and more
detail overall. I'm using an
unbalanced XLR cable
to link the DIP to the
DAC and that cable is causing an
annoying buzz
in the speakers.
After I clear that problem my stereo
set is completely
as it should be.
Thanks again. I don't understand
how anyone can
live without both the
DIP and the DAC.

Dear Mr. Poon,
Hello, this is Daniel Rusk from Polytechnic Audio in Sacramento. We
just wanted to write a few lines to
let you know
how much we have been
enjoying the new DIP 24/96 processor.
After living
with the DIP for almost 3
months now the reference system has
played hundreds
of discs. The result has
always been the same...a stellar
increase in
fidelity and realism. It has
been the single best addition ever,
even more
significant than changing an
amp, cables, or any component for
that matter.
Immediately one notices a much bigger soundstage with music
separated from the speakers. Playing
the same
music without the DIP in the
system, the music seems "pinched",
sometimes
lifeless and thin. With the DIP
installed music flows freely
unhindered, beautiful,
with unlimited dynamics,
warmth and detail. The improvement is
truly amazing.
Bass improvement is
startling; deeper but also with
tautness and
resolution. Bass pitch is now
clearly delineated. Space between
instruments
and around vocalists is large
and filled with ambient detail and
information.
It is now much easier to
hear all the music of the recording
at once,
pure and lifelike.
And too, we really appreciate the new layout and appearance. With
all the connections, including the
power cord,
now at the back, the unit
looks very nice and is handsome to
display. But
what is really cool is that
it has an optical input so people can
use it
with DVD players for home
theater or feed it with their optical
signal
from a DirecTV receiver.
You might remember we tried to purchase a DIP several years ago when
they first became available but you
were sold-out
at the time. I suppose
they had all been grabbed-up! I can
only kick
myself for waiting so long to
phone you again and make the
purchase. All that
time I could have been
listening to much better music! Now
my advice
to everyone is...Before buying
another amp, preamp, CD transport,
upgrading
cables, etc..buy a DIP first
and discover how well your current
system is
really capable of performing.
Thanks again for this little gem!

Review in Dutch
The new Monarchy Audio Digital
Interface Processor
24/96 is shipping
Monarchy Audio, manufacturer of
affordable and
reliable High End ships since april this year the new DIP 24/96. The
DIP
is used between CD/DVD player and DAC en removes a large part of jitter
from the digital signal. This is the reason for improved space, more
detail,
extended low end, improved dynamics and a more analogue sound.
The DIP 24/96 is transparent for
all signals up
to 24 bits en 96 kHz. If you wish, a DVD player can be used as a
transport
and the outgoing DIP signal will play through an existing DAC, to save
your investment in High End sound.
The DIP combines the following
functions:
- Reduces jitter and optimizes the
signal
- Gain the signal to AES/EBU level
- Separates the ground of the CD/DVD
player from
the DAC ground
- Converts the signal from optical to
electrical
Inputs for cinch and optical
cables en output
for cinch (75 Ohm) and AES/EBU balanced (110 Ohm). The AES/EBU output
is
recommended if your Dac can handle it. The DIP 24/96 has improved mains
filtering, circuit-layout en casework.

De nieuwe Monarchy Audio Digital
Interface Processor
24/96 is leverbaar
Monarchy Audio, leverancier van
betaalbare High
functies:
- Het signaal ontdoen van jitter en
optimaliseren
- Het signaal versterken tot AES/EBU
niveau
- Het CD/DVD loopwerk galvanisch
isoleren van
de D/A converter
- Omzetten van optisch naar
elektrisch signaal
Ingangen voor cinch en optische

Mr.Poon,
I have received your 24/96 DIP 2 weeks ago and have found it to be
one of the single biggest improvements in my system in years. The fact
that your processor includes AES/EBU output makes it possible to use a
balanced input on some DACs without the expense of spending thousands
for
a transport that has a balanced output.
Your processor has no power switch. In terms of long
term reliability
is it better to leave it on all the time or can it be switched on and
off
as necessary?

Dear C.C.Poon,
in these weeks i heard the dip 24/96 (and the new converter) in my
audio
system. Once again i can say with certainty: there is only one problem
when you use
a monarchy digital interface processor, you can't hear the music
anymore
without it. Why? Because this dip 24/96 improves the sound in a very
good way, (expecially
when i use the aes/ebu output): the soundstage is wider, the bass is
really
cleaner, the sound seem more dynamic and the voices are more easy to
understand. If you remove the antijitter the sound seems
sterile,without
body,without
soul. Warning ! the dip produces addiction.
Both the Monarchy antijitter i use,(the superdip and the dip
24/96),works
very well.In future,I hope to receive from You some more good products
like the dip
24796 and the 33 dac-preamp.
p.s.:the converter has an annoying hummmm... that
sometimes come and
sometimes go...........

It's the

nothing special and I'm thinking about picking up an MSB Link DAC as
well.

Hi again, CC. I am enjoying the benefits of the 24/96

Cyber-Link Copper digital coaxial cables. However, as I mentioned in
my

and clicking sounds through my speakers and the lights on the Link
flash
like crazy.
I discovered two things I thought I should mention to
you. First, when
I hit the reset button on the DIP, the stray sounds and light-flashing
stop immediately. Second, if I turn off the Pioneer after the noise
and
light-flashing commences, the stray sounds and light-flashing continue
even though the Pioneer is off. (Here again, hitting reset on the DIP
returns everything to normal.)
Do these two most recent discoveries indicate that the
source of the
stray sounds and light-flashing is something other than noise coming
out
of the Pioneer? Thanks.

reply:
Dear Daniel,
I also own a 525 but I never had your problem playing on
our D/A converter, which has an auto mute circuitry that
mutes the noise coming out of the 525 during quiet passages.
I have heard from other users that the MSB does behave
strangely when dealing with non digital audio signals
(no mute circuit).
The MSB will NOT be harmed in any way, though.
You may verify this with MSB.

Subject: Re: Monarchy 33 DAC and DIP 24/96
Dear C.C.,
After reading your prompt replies and helpful advice, I
finally purchased
the DAC M33 and a DIP 24/96 from your HK distributor. The DAC and DIP
improved
the sound of CDs in just about every aspect of sound reproduction re.
my
Rega Planet alone. Really no contest. With the M33 (no DIP) the
difference
was already very clear: better transparency and detail, improved
transients,
more realistic timbre of instruments and voice, much better dynamics,
more
bass extension. While before I could hear that something was present
'down
there', I could not hear clearly distinguishable bass lines. This
changed
when the M33 was in the system, with the Rega used as transport. The
improvement
in the reproduction of low frequency sounds was a real surprise, since
I wrongly thought that the lack of precision and extension at low
frequencies
was due to the fact that my speakers (Sonus Faber Concerto) are
bass-shy
and that their placement in my room was less than ideal. Another
improvement
was better localization of sounds. When I introduced the DIP things got
even better: bass sounds had even sharper attack and better defined
pitch,
instrument localization improved, but especially transients became more
realistic. With the DIP, I can hear the noise of the bow on the string
of violins and the puff of air in flute sounds; never happened before,
not even with the M33. Brief, I am very enthusiastic about the
improvement
in sound quality brought by this purchase.
Best regards,
Valter

Hello,
I just received one of your 24/96 adapters from
Microwise yesterday and hooked it up to my
system which now has a digital setup of:
Pioneer DVD414
24/96 adapter
MSB Link Dac II
First off, I'd like to say that the improvement in
performance is one of the most dramatic I have ever
heard in my system, rivalling speaker upgrades
and the addition of Illuminati D60 digital cable.
However, there is one slight glitch. I've noticed
that when there is no cd in my pioneer (or when it is turned
off), the 88.2 khz light on my Link Dac flickers constantly.
This only happens when the 24/96 adapter is hooked up.
Is this normal for the adapter/Link combo?
reply:
This is normal, as now the DIP is searching for a signal
to lock on.
Until a CD is being played, and a signal is fed into the DIP, the DIP
cannot output a clean error free signal for your next stage.
If not,
is it potentially harmful to my Link Dac?
REply:
No, it will not harm anything.
A better designed D/A converter like the MONARCHY
will automatically mute the sound output until a clean signal is
received from the DIP.
Assuming that many more people besides myself will
try this combination, you may want to address this
issue on your website.
